Mr. John Brtek, Sr., of Rescue, died suddenly on Tuesday of this week and his remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery at Abie on Thursday. Mr. Brtek was 74 years old and up to the last did not show any signs of the approaching death, falling asleep and passing off quietly.
