Bio

John Monroe Stanford, 85, of Valliant, died Friday night in the Idabel hospital. Services were at 2:00 p. m. Sunday in the Church of Christ in Valliant with Joe Clardy officiating. Burial was in Moran Cemetery near Valliant. Stanford was born April 15, 1886, at Ben Wheeler, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Rosa Stanford of Valliant; one daughter, Mrs. D???? Thomas of Valliant; two sisters, Mrs. R??? Caulk of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. D??? Fitzpatrick of Grand Saline, Texas; a grandchild; five great grandchildren; and ? great-great-grandchildren.
