Woodard Ray Rose (June 11, 1943 - September 5, 2012) Woodard Ray Rose, 69 of Ellisville, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville, MS with Rev. Keith Ulmer and Rev. Chris Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, 601-477-3797 Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Ellisville Funeral Home. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing. He was a hunter and gun collector and a gunsmith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Rose and Edna Beech Rose, and son, Gregory Rose. Survivors include his wife: Dianne McKenzie Rose of Ellisville Sons: Keith Rose of Ellisville and Kelvin Rose (Stacey) of Kingwood, Texas Daughter: Karen Carter (Ben) of Hattiesburg Sisters: Patsy Phillips of Ellisville, Erline Phillips (Frazier) of Ellisville, Linda Lambert (Billy) of LaPlace, LA 6 Grandchildren: Destiny Rose, Zachary Rose, Tori Rose, McKenzie Carter, Anthony Rose, Daniel Rose Pallbearers will be Cory Lambert, Brent Lambert, Calvin Rose, Dustin Patterson, Brett McKenzie, Wayne Phillips Honorary Pallbearers: Richard Patterson, Pete Rose, Billy Lambert, Tommy Rose, Roy Rose, Mike McKenzie In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the West Ellisville Baptist Church Building Fund, 1108 B Avenue, Ellisville, MS 39437, 601-477-9333.
