Father: N C Webb The following was submitted by Searchers of Our Past: W.C. "Bill" Webb, son of Mr. and Mrs.E.J. Shook of Iowa Park as killed on 15 December 1944 in an oil well explosion. He was buried on the 17th. Webb lived for many years around Red Springs in Baylor County. He was about 40 years of age and had been in almost every oil field in Texas. At the time, he was working at Corpus Christi. Rev. J.R. Balch of Seymour officiated the services. Survived by his parents; several half brothers and sisters - Mrs Pete Cooper, Mrs. Charlie Helms, Mrs. Ray Underwood, Mrs. Arl Spivy, Mrs. Donna Lee Brown, Pete Sells, Lawrence Shook, Pvt. E.J. Shook; uncle and aunt - Mr. and Mrs. A.Z. Pierce; cousins - Mrs. Floyd Keck, Mrs. Parish King, Mrs. Jack Goodwin, Mrs. BobbyGoodwin; Mrs. S.E. Biggerstaff.
