Mr. Jeptha Derrick, 64, of 1746 Worthington Court, Frederick, died Sunday, Oct. 5, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy C. Dunn Derrick. Born Dec. 30, 1921, in Surgoinsville, Tenn., he was a son of teh late F. O. and Elsie Allen Derrick. Mr. Derrick was employed by Watkins-Johnson Inc., Gaithersburg, as a foreman of Mechanical Inspection Division. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Scotty Blevins of Middleton, Deborah and Paul Jacobson of Gaithersburg; two grandsons, Michael Blevins of Middletown, Jeffrey Jacobson of Gaithersburg; five brothers, Herman Derrick of Ellicott City, Gene Derrick of Surgoinsville, Tenn., Enoch Derrick of Ellicott City, Holly Derrick of Fairbanks, Alaska, Wade Derrick of Surgoinsville, Tenn., Marve Derrick of Baker, Ore; one sister, Mary Nell Derrick of Kingsport, Tenn. He was predeceased by four brothers, DeWolfe Derrick Jr., Lynn Derrick, Gus Derrick, Andy Derrick; and two sisters, Evelyn Derrick, Lucille Derrick. Friends may call 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, from the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
