OBIT: Lynn DeWayne Derrick, 74, of Route 2, Surgoinsville died early Monday afternoon in the Indian Path Hospital following a long illness. He was a member of the Midway Church of the Brethern and a veteran of World War II. For many years, he lived in Idaho in upon retirement, he returned to Hawkins County. He is survived by three stepsons, Ralph Derrick, Fairborn, Ohio; Doyle Derrick, Church Hill and John Derrick, Kingsport; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Nancy Carter and Mrs. Peggy Gross, both of Greeneville; two sisters, Miss Mary Nell Derrick and Mrs. Carl Evelyn (Evelyn) Robinette, both of Kingsport; seven brothers, Marve Derrick, Baker, Oregon, Herman and Enoch Derrick, both of Ellicott, Maryland, Jep Derrick, Silver Springs, Maryland, Holly Derrick, Fairbanks, Alaska, Gene H. and Wade H.
