Interment: Mary 23, 2012 ************************* Catherine Rose McIntyre, 83, of the 700 block of Ballahack Rd., Chesapeake, VA, passed away February 23, 2012, in Chesapeake Health Care. A native of Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late James and Edna McCormack, and the widow of Robert B. McIntyre. Catherine served proudly as a WAVE in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. She retired as Secretary from the School of Music at Little Creek Amphibious Base. She is survived by three sons, Michael B. McIntyre and wife Nancy of Chesapeake, VA, Gary B. McIntyre of Hampton, VA and Robert A. McIntyre and wife Karen of Suffolk, VA; a sister, Patricia Hauser of New Jersey; three brothers, James McCormack of Massachusetts, and George and John McCormack of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Lauren and Brian; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel is handling the arrangements.
