Anna Marie Wilhelmina Havel was born in 1893 to Joseph Vaclav Havel and Maria Anna Choupek. She married Floyd Leroy "Roy" Grubaugh on 31 May 1916 in Bruno, Butler, NE. They had four children: Richard Havel Grubaugh (1917-2008) Marie Ann Grubaugh Goerlinger (1919-2000) Alvin Matthew Grubaugh (1922-1984) Marvin Joseph Grubaugh (1922-1982) Anna died in 1977 in David City, NE. Here is her obituary: Columbus Telegram, Columbus, NE, Saturday, Sept. 3, 1977 Deaths and Funerals GRUBAUGH - A lifetime resident of Butler County, Mrs. Anna Grubaugh, 84, of David City, died Friday at the Butler County Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, David City, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Her body will lie in state Sunday from 1 to 6 pm at Knott Funeral Home, David City, PCCW rosary will be 7:30 pm at the church followed by a wake service. Mrs. Grubaugh was born July 26, 1893 in Butler County to Joseph and Maria Chlopek Havel. She married Roy Grubaugh and they lived in the Rising City area. Surviving are sons, Dick of David City, Marvin of Rising City and Alvin of Columbus; daughter, Mrs. F. E, (Marie) Goerlinger of Anaheim, CA; and sister Emma Havel od David City. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968, parents, three brothers and one sister.
