Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent November 1977 Mrs. Katherine Slobaszewski, 72, of 242 S. Vine, died Thursday at her home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7:30 p.m. Sunday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7:30. Mrs. Slobaszewski was born Jan. 14, 1905, at Ashton to Frank and Mary Lubash Maciejewski. She attended school and grew up there. She married Joseph F. Zlobaszewski (sic) on Oct. 2, 1934, at Ashton. They lived on a farm near Ashton until they came to Grand Island 23 years ago. Mrs. Slobaszewski was a member of the parish of St. Mary's Cathedral, the Altar Society and the church's Quilting Circle. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Bydalek of Loup City, and Mrs. Anna Erlewine of Ogallala. She was preceded in death by a brother, Nick Maciejewski.
