Nebraska Register, Friday 18 December 1959, pg 2 Ashton Rites Given Frank Maciejewski Ashton - (St. Francis Parish) Funeral services for Frank Maciejewski, 87, a former long term resident of Ashton who had lived with his children in Grand Island for the past eight years, were held in St. Francis Church on Monday, Dec. 14, with Father Michael Sczcesny offering the Requiem Mass. Mr. Maciejewski died Friday, Dec. 11, in a Grand Island hospital. He was born Oct 28, 1872 (sic) in Pittsburgh, Pa. and came with his parents to the Ashton community when he was seven years old. He retired in 1951. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Bydalek of Ashton, Mrs. Ann Zakrzewski of Ogallala, and Mrs. Katherine Slabaszewski of Grand Island; one son, Nick Maciejewski of Grand Island; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Dembowski and Mrs. Valerie Lewandowski of Loup City; one brother, Walt Maciejewski of Loup City; six grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.
