Gunderson Died Sunday, June 3 Bellwood, June 11 – Funeral services for Mrs. Frank P. Gunderson, 62, who passed away June 3 at her home in Bellwood following an 18 months illness with infectious asthma, were held in St. Peter's Catholic church June 6 at 9 a.m. with Rev. D. B. O'Conner officiating. Burial was St. Mary's cemetery, David City, with the following serving as pallbearers, O. A. Brandenburg, C. A. Carson, A. C. Kosch, Reid Nantkes, A. G. Peck and Fay Smith. Survivors of Mrs. Gunderson are her husband; two sons, Marvin L. Haney of Omaha and George A. Haney of Albany, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Marilyn, Rita and Robert Haney of Omaha; one brother, Harold Peck of Rising City; and five sisters, Mrs. Mabel Ellis of Rising City, Mrs. Blanche Miller of Tromsburg, Mont., Mrs. Orilla Wey of Bellwood, Mrs. George McMeekin of Shelby and Mrs. Fern Payne of Eli. One sister, Mrs. Minnie Lees, preceded her in death. Mrs. Gunderson's maiden name was Isabel Peck, she having been the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Peck of Rising City. Her birth date was April 22, 1883. She was twice married, the first time on May 31, 1904 to Leonard J. Haney, who departed this life on January 21, 1918. On May 25, 1934, she became the wife of Frank P. Gunderson and took up residence in Bellwood. Prior to that she had lived in Rising City and Columbus. Aside from her duties a housewife she followed occupation as nurse for several years. Besides being a faithful member of the Catholic church Mrs. Gunderson was affiliated with the altar society of the church and the Women's Benefit Association. Elmer Lees of Wheatland, Wyo., came from away to attend the funeral services.
