OGG, MARTHA L.—Martha L Groves was born in Macoupin county, Illinois, April 3, 1856. She was married July 4, 1873 to John W. Ogg. To this union were born five children, three dying in infancy, and one, Erma, dying at the age of sixteen years. One daughter, Mrs. James McCashland of Davenport survives, also a little foster daughter, Elizabeth and two sisters. Mrs. Ogg united with the Methodist church early in life and had been true to her faith through the years. She had her membership in the Geneva Methodist church for a number of years, recently transferring to Davenport. She with her daughter and husband, came to Nebraska in 1897, and have made their home since, with the exception of seven years spent in Wyoming. Her husband preceded her in death five years ago. Mrs. Ogg was making her home with her daughter, when her death occurred, September 20, 1921, after a short illness. The body was brought to Geneva Sunday, and the funeral service was held at the Methodist church at 3 p.m. Sunday, and was conducted by Rev. R. H. Thompson. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
