Katherina was the daughter of Franz and Franziska (Kossek) Jambor. She was born in house 51 in the village of Marshowitz Nove Mesto na Morave of the Bohemian Empire. Today known as Marsovice Czech Republic. She had 2 older siblings, Josef born February 26 1848 and Franciska born April 15 1853. In 1873 her family immigrated to the United States and settled in the Elk Creek area of Saunders County Nebraska. On June 4 1877 she married Jan (John) B. Rerucha son of Jan and Klara Rerucha born August 26 1845 in house 19 Valec Hrotovice Vysocina region of Bohemia. They lived on a farm south west of Prague Nebraska were they raised their family. They had 14 children 3 of which died as infants, Vilem William born January 31 1882 died March 20 1882, Hedvika Hattie born September 9 1900 died September 21 1900 and twin sister Ludmilla Lillian born September 21 1900 died September 29 1900. They also had a daughter Rose born September 9 1897 who died December 29 1915. The other 10 children, John Cyril, Joseph P., William Alois, Pauline, Mary Ann, Theresa M., Antonette, Frank Peter, Agnes E. and Anthony Theodore all grew up on the farm, marring and raising their own families. John and Katherina had 56 grandchildren 144 great grandchildren, 184 great great grandchildren and 101 great great great grandchildren. A total of 485 decedents and still growing.
