Bio

At the age of 3, William wandered from the house to were his father was harvesting wheat. His leg was partially severed by the ginder and since there was no doctor, the midwife from Prague came out and finished removing the leg. From then on he walked on a wooden stump. He married Emma Pernicek March 3, 1916 in Abie, Nebraska. They lived in Appleton and David City. They had 6 children Marie, Rose, Elmer, Erwin, Wilfred and Ivan.
