Bio
Birth date and maiden name provided by Jennifer Faust (#47308726). According to the 1880 census she was 74 years old, born Bohemia, and lived in Franklin Township, Butler County, Nebr. with her husband Joseph, age 65, born Bohemia, son Joseph, his wife Antonie, and their five children. The inscription on her gravestone says she died August 12, 1887 but this is incorrect. The mortality schedule of the 1885 census states she died of old age in Franklin Township the previous November at the age 79 years. It also says she was born in Bohemia to parents born in Moravia and had lived in Butler County for six years. Her husband Joseph is listed on the same census as a widower.
