The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), January 7, 1993, p. 8, col. 2 Veronica Andel services held on January 6 Services for Veronica Andel of David City were conducted Wednesday morning, Jan. 6, from Assumption Church, Appleton. Mrs. Andel, 93, died Saturday, Jan. 2, at David Place following a two month illness due to complications following a fall. Father Lawrence Stoley celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial. Music was furnished by the Assumption Choir. Pallbearers were Charles Andel, Douglas Sejkora, Greg Romshek, Richard Smola, James Andel and Robert Sejkora. Honorary pallbearers were Tony Romshek, Russell Andel, Don Sejkora, Steven Andel, Ken Sejkora, Richard Sejkora, Joe Smola. Burial was in Assumption Cemetery, Appleton. Veronica Andel, the daughter of Joe and Antonia Kopecek Janak, was born Dec. 27, 1899, at David City. She attended rural school east of David City. On Oct. 30, she was united in marriage to Frank L. Andel at AssumptionChurch, Appleton. Six children were born to this union. A homemaker, she was a member of the Catholic Church and the PCCW. She is survived by three sons, George Andel and Robert Andel of David City, Marcel Andel of Schuyler; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Martha) Sejkora of Arizona City, Ariz., Mrs. Eugene (Elsie) Smola of Dwight and Mrs. Don (Mary Ann) Romshek of Bellwood; 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband, Frank; three brothers, Edward, Frank and Robert Janak; a sister, Helen; a grandson, Mark Andel and a great-granddaughter, Kimberly Hughes, preceded her in death. On Oct. 30, she was united in marriage to Frank L. Andel at Assumption
