Bio
Mrs. Simon Zembsch -- Mary Ann Zembsch was born at Cherokee, Iowa, August 3, 1866, and passed away at her home at 210 South Eighth Street, Cherokee, Iowa, at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 1938, at the age of 61 years, 2 months, and 2 days. She is survived by her husband, three sons, and five daughters. Mrs. Emery Goodrich, Cleghorn; Mrs. Lawrence Trainor, Mrs. Laverne Chase, Loretta and Bernadine Zembsch of Cherokee; Joseph Zembsch, Sioux City; Francis and Bernard Zembsch, Cherokee. A sister, Mrs. Paul Durr, LeMars, and Jon Pitts, a brother, also survive. In the year 1897, she was united in marriage with Simon Zembsch of Marcus, Iowa and to this union were born five daughters and three sons befoe mentioned. She made her home in Cherokee since that date, excepting a few years wheich were spent in Minnesota. Funeral services were held from the Immaculate Conception Church Friday morning, with Rev. T.M. Parle in charge. ----- Our recent sad loss leaves us with grateful hearts toward neighbors and friends. Their comforting expressions of sympathy and thoughtfulness will always be remembered.
