Frank Trousil, a resident of Seward county for 14 years, died at his home in Dwight, Nebraska, Tuesday, November 26, 1929. Funeral services were held Friday, November 29, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Assumption Church, Dwight. Interment was in the Dwight Catholic cemetery. Mr. Trousil was born in Austria in March, 1854. He attended both the German and Bohemian schools. At the age of 11, he moved to the United States with his parents to Kewaunee county, Wis., where he obtained the rest of his education. From the age of 11, after arriving in the United States, Mr. Trousil played with the band, and continued for about 30 years, first with his parents, sister, uncle and cousins, which was called Trousil's band, and then with other bands after moving to Nebraska. On February 11, 1879, Mr. Trousil married Catherine Jisa of Kewaunee county, Wis., and in 1882, moved with his family to Nebraska, settling in Wahoo where they resided for three years while Mr. Trousil was engaged in carpenter and mason work. In 1885, he moved with his family to Holt county. There he farmed for eight years, then he moved back to his farm near Weston, Nebr. In 1903, he moved to a farm near Bee, where he spent the rest of his life until 1917 when he retired to Dwight. He leaves a wife, son, seven daughters, 34 grandchildren and three sisters.
