Born in the village of Rizenburk, town Dol. Kralovice, county Caslav, Austrian Empire (now in Czechia). Immigrated to the United States on the Str. Baltimore, which arrived in Baltimore, Maryland from Bremen, Germany on May 7, 1870. The ship manifest includes Johann Tesinsky (age 31), Cathrine (36), Anton (3), and Antonie (9 months), all from Bohmen. 1880 census (Newman Precinct, Saunders County, Nebr.): John Tesinsky (age 42, farmer, born Bohemia), Catharine (wife, 42, keeping house, Bohemia), Antonie (daughter, 11, Bohemia), Mary (daughter, 9, Nebraska), Katie (daughter, 7, Nebraska), John (son, 4, Nebraska). 1885 census (Newman Precinct, Saunders County, Nebr.): John Tenensky (age 48, farmer, born Nebraska), Catharine (wife, 48, keeping house, Bohemia), Antonia (daughter, 16, Bohemia), Mary (daughter, 14, Nebraska), Catharine (daughter, 12, Nebraska), John (son, 10, Nebraska). 1900 census (Newman Precinct, Saunders County, Nebr.): John Tesina (born January 1839, age 61, married 38 years, born Austria, immigrated to U.S. 1870, farmer), Catharine (wife, born April 1835, age 65, married 38 years, mother of five children, three living, born Austria, immigrated to U.S. 1870), John Jr. (son, born April 1877, age 23, born Nebraska, farmer).
