Soukup of Dwight were conducted Tuesday morning, April 14, from Dwight Assumption Church, Dwight, with Father James Cooper celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Mr. Soukup, 73, died Saturday, April 11, at Seward. Joe F. Soukuo, the son of Joe T. Soukup and Frances Trousil, was born June 18, 1913, near Dwight. He was united in marriage to Lillian Sisel on Nov. 29, 1939, at Loma. Five children were born to this union. A retired farmer, he was a member of Assumption Church at Dwight. He leaves his wife, Lillian of Dwight; two sons, Joseph D. and John D. Soukup, both of Dwight; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Eileen) Tesarek of York and Mrs. Greg (Pam) Pleskac of Dwight; two sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Emma) Hottovy of Lincoln and Mrs. William (Pauline) Divis of Valparaiso; one aunt, Mrs. Pauline Vampola of Omaha; and 13 grandchildren. His parents and one daughter, Lillian, who died in 1953, preceded him in death.
