Bio
Eva Marie Kozlovsky, age 76 of Heath, TX, passed away August 19, 2012. She was born March 25, 1936 in Dallas, TX, to Ed & Lilly (Ozimy) Tallas. Eva grew up in the farming community of Forney before moving with her family to Kaufman where she graduated in 1954 as class Valedictorian. She married Bernard Kozlovsky on November 26, 1955 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Kaufman. A devout Catholic, Eva sang in the church choir and started her lifelong commitment as organist at age 14. She taught CCD class for more than 20 years, and she truly lived her faith, Eva was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Talty, TX. She worked for Rockwall ISD for 33 years, retiring in 2001 and was active in her community as a member of several local organizations. Eva is survived by her husband; daughters: Becky Kozlovsky of Terrell, TX and Eva Beth McGuire & husband Mike of Rockwall, TX; son: Karl Kozlovsky & wife Brandi of Royse City, TX; and grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kole and Kurt McGuire. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother: Ed Tallas, Jr. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1305 Damascus Rd, Rockwall, TX 75087. Interment will follow in Kaufman City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
