The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), March 24 ,1994, p. 8, col. 4 Christina Krenk services held Services for Christina Krenk of Dwight were conducted Saturday morning, March 5, from Wood Bros. Chapel, Seward, with Father Kenneth Borowiak officiating. Frances Gill was the organist. Mrs. Krenk, 91, died Wednesday, March 2, at Boulder, Colo. Pallbearers were Dean Graham, Cary Krenk, Ray L. Policky, Robert L. Greenwood, Leslie Krenk, Allen Krenk, Vernon Policy and Mike McCracken. Burial was in Assumption Cemetery, Dwight. Christina Marie Krenk, the daughter of Karel and Josephine Policky, was born July 17, 1902 near Loma. She attended country school near Loma. She was united in marriage to Anton Frank Krenk on Feb. 14, 1917 [sic] at Bee. They farmed near Dwight all of their marriage life. Following the death of her husband in 1977, she lived in Dwight for a short time. For many years she lived with her daughter, Eva Greenwood and for the last three years she stayed with her family, the Robert Greenwoods, Pat MacCrackens and the Larry Krenks. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Antone and Marie Krenk of Clearwater, Fla., Larry and Katherine Krenk of Westminster, Colo., a daughter, Eva Greenwood of David City; two brothers, Anton Policky of York and Joe Policky of Crete; three sisters, Frances Holly of O'Neill, Katherine Stoupa of Seward and Agnes Liska of Bee; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anton; son-in-law, Robert Greenwood; seven brothers and sisters.
