Bio

Frantiska Ruzicka was born in Rouchovany, South Moravia, CZ. Her father's name was Johan Ruzicka. Her mother's name is Nepomučena Mittnerová (Rouchovany birth records, 1830-1865, page 89.) She married Alexander Hain about 1888, and they had one daughter, Johanna "Jennie." The family immigrated to America in 1894, settling in Plum Creek, Butler County, Nebraska, where Alexander farmed and Frantiska was a seamstress. Frantiska died at the age of 50 from a gall bladder attack. A few years later, Alexander decided to return to Czechoslovakia where he married a cousin of Frantiska's. Mrs. Alex Hain died Wednesday morning, August 25, 1915, after being confined to her bed about three weeks. She underwent an operation for appendicitis about five years ago from which she never fully recovered. Funeral services will be conduced Friday morning at the Catholic Church by Rev. Father Pazourek.
