Born in the village of Sedlec, town of Namest, county of Znojmo, Austrian Empire (now in the Czech Republic). Farmed in Elk Precinct, Saunders County, Nebr. (P. O. Newton). Dufek, age 54 years, died at his home 5 miles south of town, Thursday morning, after an illness of several months. He was a member of the Catholic Workmen, which society buried him last (Saturday) morning at 10 o'clock in the Dwight cemetery. The deceased has lived in this vicinity 22 years and leaves a wife and six children to mourn him.
