Rebekah McClelland was born in 1781 in Iredell Co., NC, the daughter of William and Rebekah McClelland. She married Alexander McConnell about 1800 in Iredell Co., NC. He was born about 1779 and died before 7 Mar 1811 in Iredell Co., NC. Their children were: (1) William Winston McConnell, born about 1801, married Hannah Rines about 1820, and died before 1840 in Iredell Co., NC. (2) John Armstrong McConnell, born 22 Sep 1803, married Margaret Morris on 23 Dec 1838, and died 1 Sep 1860 in Yell Co., AR; (3) James Allison McConnell, born about 1806 and died between 1870 and 1880 in Perry Co., AR; (4) Jenny Mellissa McConnell, born about 1809, married James Masters in 1828, and died 22 Jan 1889 and is also buried in this cemetery.
