Bio
CREIGHTON-Funeral services were held at St. Ludger Catholic Church for John W. Maly, 63, Creighton, who died March 19 in an Osmond hospital. Rev. Melvern Wiese officiated. Burial in St. Ludger Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leonard Frisch, Francis Ebel, John Wilmes, John Hoffman, Adolph Stoural and Marvin Hasenpflug. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Fuchtman, John Meyer, William Fehringer, Leo Wagner ,Joe Wagner and Joe Dartman. He was born at West Point September 28, 1898, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Maly. He was educated at St. Charles School in West Point and was a mail carrier for 30 years. He married Marie Grothe June 11, 1929. They had nine grandchildren. Survivors are his widow; eight children. Mrs John Wilms, Central City, Mrs. Gordon Fehringer, Bloomfield, James C. Maly, Verdigre, Sister M. Suzanne, Wilmette IL., Mrs. Marvin Mlady, Verdigre, Tom, Bob and Susan at home; four sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Goeken, West Point, Sister M. Waldegundis, Decatur, IL., Mrs. Louis Yates, Nampa, ID., Mrs. Alois Ortmeier, Beemer; two brothers, Dr. Henry Maly, Colorado Springs, CO., William Maly, West Point.
