Beemer - Anna Cecilia Ortmeier, 73, of Beemer, died Thursday at a Lincoln hospital. Services were held Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Duffy officiating, assisted by Rev. Korus of Wisner, Revs. Dickes and Beacom of West Point, Rev. Schwartz of Dodge, Rev. Wessling of Columbus, Rev. Price of Winnebago, Rev. Spenner of Central City, Rev. Grewe of Hartington and Rev. O'Donnell of Pender. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Ortmeier was born Dec. 26, 1911, at St. Charles, the daughter of Wenzel and Mary Maly. She attended St. Charles School and married Alois Ortmeier, Nov. 5, 1931, at St. Charles. the couple resided in Dodge and Cuming Counties moving to Beemer 45 years ago. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Stan and Vern, both of Beemer; three daughters, Marcie (Art) Kalvoda of Lincoln, Celine (Don) Beerbohm of Columbus and Marilyn (Eugene) Spenner of British Columbia, Canada; 23 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Katie Goeken of Beemer, Frances Yates of Boise, ID, and Sister Magdalene Maly, OSF, of Campbellsport, WI. She was preceded by three brothers and twin sons.
