Info on Jarrett's Brother James Campbell and their parents James B. Campbell is one of the well-to-do agriculturists of Washington County, Ark., and is a native of Middle Tennessee, born in Bedford County May 15, 1835. His father, Berry Campbell, was born in Kentucky, but was married in Tennessee to Mary E. Butler, who was also born in Kentucky. [p.922] His death occurred previous to the birth of his son, James B. His widow continued to reside in Tennessee until 1848, when she came to Arkansas, locating first in Pike County and afterward in Washington County, where she died in 1878. James B. Campbell made his home with his mother until her death. In 1861 he enlisted in the Confederate army, in the Sixteenth Arkansas Infantry, and served until the close of the war, being a participant in the battles of Pea Ridge, Corinth, Iuka, Port Hudson, Mark's Mill and Saline River. In the winter of 1859 Mr. Campbell was married to Miss Hannah Buchanan, a daughter of Leander Buchanan,( and sister to Jarrett's wife) one of the early settlers of Washington County, and their union has resulted in the birth of six children: James E., William R., Wiley B., Mary E., John and Claude. In 1874 Mr. Campbell located on his present farm of 207 1/2 acres, and is considered one of the prosperous farmers of the county. He has a pleasant and comfortable home, and has a nice orchard of two acres of select and grafted fruits. INFO ON JARRETT Son of Berriman and Mary Butler Campbell Fought for CSA First wife Louisa Jane Buchanan daughter of Leander Buchanan and Margery Buchanan. She was born 1833 in Arkansas, He married Louisa Jane Buchanan in Washington County in 1860. He served in the Confederate Army from Washington County, Arkansas. After the Civil War Jarrett Campbell moved to Henderson County, Texas where Louisa died after July of 1870(Census records show her) in probably Henderson County, Texas. He then married twice widowed Albina Mary Dallas Harris Goad Woolverton on 12 Nov 1872. She is buried beside him in Tennessee Colony, TX. Louisa and Jarrett had four children which are: 1. Josephine Campbell, born 05 Nov 1861 in Arkansas. 2. John Lee Campbell, born 19 Mar 1864 in Arkansas; died 1941. He married Mary Goodale born in Ohio. 3. Margaret Lou Frazier Campbell (McKinzie) see more below 4. Green Berry Campbell, born 17 May 1866 in Arkansas. He and Albina had the following children together 5.
