Bio
Husband of Bernieta Brown (1918-1991), Father of Doug, Dennis and Debbie. Served in th U.S. Navy from 1943-1969. Taken care of by his daughter Debbie for many years. Lived a long active life untill a few months ago, died of a heart attack Wednesday September 1, 2004 at age 90. A very kind and gentle man, who as his minister at his funeral described as only lost his cool when it came to getting his wife Bernieta to stop talking. Enjoyed gardening, and the company of friends and Family. He will be missed. A copy of his obit in the Modesto Bee. Arthur F. Brown Dec. 5, 1913 -- Sept. 1, 2004 Arthur Floyd Brown, 90, of Turlock died Wednesday at Emanuel Medical Center. Mr. Brown was a native of San Bernardino and had lived in Turlock since 1947. He was a chief yeoman with the Navy and served from 1943-69. He was a member of American Legion Post 88 and Fleet Reserve Association Post 197. He enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his children, Debra Brown and Dennis Brown, both of Turlock, and Douglas Brown of Carson City, Nev.; and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today at Turlock Memorial Park. Remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame 94010.
