She was born Oct. 15, 1927, to Stanley and Elizabeth Wytaske. Rose married Ronald Kneeskern in Austin, Minn., on Jan. 18, 1947. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, an avid birder and all-around nature enthusiast. Her interests included family, gardening, birding, reading, tai chi and having fun with her close friends. She is survived by her sister, Bernice (Bob) Green; daughter, Beth Shade and grandchildren, Carolyn Shade, Emily (Yusef) Carrillo, Allie (Adam) Kemper and Joseph (Jane) Shade. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kneeskern; son, Roger Kneeskern and siblings, Helen, John, Stanley and Franny. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at the First United Methodist church in Austin.
