Glenn 'Tad' Furby FULLERTON — Glenn Duane Furby, 79, of Fullerton died Friday, April 10, 1998, at the Litzenberg Memorial Hospital in Central City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton. The Revs. George McQuinn and Jim Howland will officiate. Burial will be in the Fullerton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Palmer Funeral Home. Mr. Furby was born on Jan. 1, 1919, at Genoa to Roy and Emma (Lutzke) Furby. He attended grade school at Genoa country schools. He married Arnette Brider on Feb. 19, 1941, at Albion. She died in 1990. The couple lived in Nance County and moved to Fullerton in 1963. He worked for two Fullerton doctors until he started Furby Tree Service with his son, Terry. He later helped his grandson, Rusty, after he sold his business to him. He moved into the Fullerton Manor in 1994, where he lived until the time of his death. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include one daughter, Micki Sensenig of Fullerton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Vossberg of Loveland, Colo., and Mildred Ferris of Holdrege; and one brother, Walter Furby of Fullerton.
