Bio

Funeral services for Opal Bessie Hoff will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery.  Pastor Terry Osborne will officiate. Mrs. Hoff died Monday at the Corvallis Manor, 160 N.E. Conifer Blvd, where she was a resident.  She was 85.  She was born Sept 16, 1896, in Newmarket, Iowa, to Henry and Mary Weaver Smith.  She was raised and received her education in Newmarket.  She moved to Smith Center, Kan, and remained there until 1923, when she moved to Kansas City, Mo.  She later moved to Canon, Colo, and finally settled in Corvallis in 1945. Survivors include her son, Lewis Locke of Philomath, and seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
