He was 74. Rev. Flavins [sic] Czuba will officiate at the 10 a.m. services Thursday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus with burial in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. He will lie in state after 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home where Rosary will be recited at 7:30 Wednesday evening. Mr. Borowiak ws [sic] born June 30, 1904, in Nance County to William and Pauline (Jolkowski) Borowiak. He married Tessie Prososki on Oct. 30, 1927 in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Krakow. They farmed in Nance County 40 years and then moved to Columbus 11 years ago. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. Survivors include his wife; son, Clifford Borowiak of York; daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Esther) Tarnick, Columbus; a brother, Frank of Genoa, a sister, Mrs. Zigmund (Stella) Shotkoski of columbus [sic], a half-sister, Mrs. John (Clara) Cich of St. Paul Minn.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson; two brothers, Walter and John, a half-brother, Anastazy; three half-sisters, Dora Drwol, Klodia Kawa, Mary Prososki.
