The Independent, Robertsdale, Alabama, Thurs., May 1, 1997 page 2a Willis R. Dyess, 91, a native of Baldwin County and resident of Loxley, died April 19, 1997. Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Spangler of Pasadena, Texas; three sisters, Irma Cox of Salem, Ore., Ester Riendeau of Robertsdale and Alma Cloud of Pensacola; and two brothers, William Dyess and Carl Dyess, both of Robertsdale. Services were held April 21 at Mack Funeral Home’s Robertsdale chapel with burial in Dyess Cemetery in Robertsdale.
