Services Held for Edwin Girndt, 91, Long-time Resident Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Ganado Lutheran Church for Edwin F. Girndt, 91, well-known retired Jackson County farmer. Interment was in the Edna Cemetery, with Slavik Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Girndt was born March 12, 1870 in Columbus, Texas, but lived in Jackson County from 1917 until 1960, when he moved to Flatonia. He passed away in the Mauritz Memorial Jackson County Hospital on August 22, following an illness of four days. He is survived by four sons, W. A. and E. O. Girndt of Edna, A. E. of Ganado, and W. L. of Temple; and two daughter, Leona Reve of Port Lavaca and Laura Crawther of New Orleans, La. Edna Herald , August 24, 1961
