Published in the Fort Worth Star Telegram "Elmer Blakely General Dynamics Employee Weatherford - Elmer Mason Blakely of Weatherford died yesterday at a Fort Worth nursing home. He was 80. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Burial will be in East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford. Mr. Blakely was born in Egan and lived in Fort Worth for many years before moving to Weatherford 26 years ago. He retired in 1973 from General Dynamics in Fort Worth, where he had worked 31 years. Mr. Blakely was a member of Weatherford Assembly of God. Survivors: Wife, Elsie Blakely of Weatherford; two daughters, Gwen Shoecraft of White Settlement and Joyce Perry of Arkansas; three stepdaughters, Glenda Bartow and Sandra Prince, both of Burleson, and Ann Mendoza of California; stepson, Charles Bostwick of Florida; sister, Ella Teague of Cleburne; brother, John Blakely of Sulphur Springs; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren."
