NEBRASKA SGT 35 INF REGT WWII Lyle Berten McCright - Military Information Branch of Service: U.S. Army 35th Infantry Regiment Rank: Sergeant Date of Service: December 19, 1944 to November 17, 1946 Stationed: Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas Decorations: Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal; Philippine Liberation with Bronze Star; Good Conduct Medal; World War II Victory Medal; Army of Occupation Medal During Lyle’s stay in the Philippines he contracted malaria and developed pneumonia at the same time. He survived this but was separated from his company. They had moved on to Japan.
