GEORGE ELMER GRIFFIN 1911-2005 George Elmer Griffin, age 93 of Pensacola, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2005 in a local hospital. He was a retired Union Carpenter with Local 551, Houston, Texas. He was a native of Texas but had been a resident of Pensacola since 1978. Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Lucille, and his son, Tommie Lee. Survivors include his son, George E. Griffin, Jr. and wife Dorothy; grandchildren, George Michael (Diane) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Gerald E. (Teresa) and Graig A. (Gi-Gi); three great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 9:30 AM Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. Jack Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery. FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME South, 100 Beverly Parkway, is in charge of arrangements. Pensacola News Journal 2005
