Marian R. Severe, 76, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Friday May 4, 2012 at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center while under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Marian Rose Petrie was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on August 14, 1935, she was the daughter of Norman and May (Hayes) Petrie; she was educated in the Marshalltown School District. Marian had worked at Packaging Corporation and had been the manager at the American Legion in Marshalltown. Marian always enjoyed a good game of golf and enjoyed bowling. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Steven Beard of Apache Junction, Arizona, Terry Beard, of Greeley ,Colorado Lana Beard of Kansas City, Kansas and Peggy Beard of Kansas City, Kansas and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister: H. Edie Davis of Marshalltown , and nieces and nephews. Marian was preceded in death by her parents: Norman and May and three sisters: Elaine Lueshen, Phyllis Morrison, and Cathy Veld. The family would like to thank Southridge Nursing and Rehab and Iowa River Hospice for their loving care.
