The Victoria Advocate, September 4, 2004: Bruno William Legler, 93, of Wharton, died Thursday, September 2, 2004. He was born September 16, 1910 in Fayetteville to the late Julius and Ida Kirsch Legler. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a retired master carpenter and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Survivors: daughter, Debra Caston of Lewisville; sons, Victor Legler of Katy, Larry Legler of Wharton, Don Legler of Brighton, and Mark Legler of Fort Worth; sister, Antonia Coufal of La Grange; and eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Edna Louise Piwetz Legler. Services will be 2 p.m. today at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
