Bio

JULIUS BARTEK Bartek was born August 17, 1912, in Valparaiso, Nebraska, where he grew up. He graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1930, and worked on a farm from 1930 to 1934. He married Judith Moline March 11, 1934, in Beatrice, Nebraska. They made their home in Beatrice until 1936, when they moved to a farm near Weston, Nebraska. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad from 1937 to 1974, when he retired. They had moved to Wahoo in 1968, and he worked part time at Cerny's Body Shop in Wahoo after his retirement. He was a member of the Wahoo Eagles Aerie 2971. Julius G. Bartek, 83, of Wahoo, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 1995 at Haven House Nursing Home in Wahoo Left to cherish his memory are his wife, two sons, Harold of Wahoo and Donald of Scribner, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, stepbrothers and stepsisters. The funeral for Julius G. Bartek, 83, of Wahoo will be 11 a.m. Friday at Pruss Funeral Home in Wahoo. The Rev. Robert Kronberg will officiate Friday's service. Visitation is in progress until 8 tonight and 9 a.m. to time of Friday's service, both at the funeral home.
