UP ENGINEER DIES MONDAY Andrew John Bartek, 64, Marysville, an engineer on the Union Pacific Railroad, died of a heart attack Monday at his home, 1001 North 13th. Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Gregory's Catholic Church with the Rev. George Klasinski officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery at Beatrice, with arrangements by Kinsley's. Recitation of the rosary was Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. at the Kinsley chapel. Bartek, the son of the late George and Veronica Bartek, was born Nov. 30, 1910, at Weston, Neb. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lenora Bartek; one son, Lowell E. Bartek, Beatrice; a daughter, Marcia Kaye Benner, Fort Madison, Iowa; 2 sisters, Emma Quass, Omaha; Mollie Clark, Lincoln, Neb.; 2 brothers, Julius Bartek, Wahoo, Neb.; Sylvester Bartek, Portland, Ore.; and 6 grandchildren. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Linsenmeyer living south of here. The bridegroom is employed as a fireman on the Union Pacific. The couple will reside in Beatrice.
