Owen Eugene "Gene" Noftsger, 28, of Elk City, Kansas, passed away at his home from a self inflicted gunshot wound. Son of Billie L. and Mary Jane Brigman Noftsger. He married Elaine Koger on Feb. 24, 1978 at Elk City, Ks. They later divorced. Children: Haley and Tara Noftsger, both of Elk City, Ks. Siblings: Bobbi Bennett of Srpingfield, Mo. Debbie Newman of Alvin, Tx. Sandy DeVore of Independence, Ks. Vicki Breckenholdt of Emporia, Ks. Billy J. Noftsger of Elk City, Ks. Step-siblings: Donny Loffer of Montana Mark Pinales of Wichita, Ks. John Pinales of Longton, Ks. Kim Daneka of Pittsburg, Ks. Gene had shot his ex-wife Elaine, before shooting himself. She survived.
