Lyle (Lee)Lilienthal 54, of Austin, Texas joined our heavenly father on Friday, April 25, 1997. A veteran of the United States Army during the Viet Nam War, he was the recipient of many medals, those being the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal, the Good Conduct Medal (with silver loop), the Army Service Ribbon, the Vietnam Service Medal (with two Bronze Service Stars), the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal (with 6 device), the National Denfense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), the Parachuist Badge, the Expert badge (rifle)and the Overseas Service Ribbon. He also was a devoted member and contributor of the Lanier Baptist Church. Mr. Lilienthal was a loving, caring husband and father who was hard working and good natured. he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A family visitation will be from 9am until 11am at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, April 29, 1997, at Lanier Baptist Church with Reverand Richard Dahlgreen and Reverand Chun Sik Kim officiating. Interment will be in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetary in San Antonio at 2:30pm Survivors include his wife, Sue Lilienthal of Austin, son, Dammie Lilienthal of Austin; daughter, Sherrill Lilienthal of Portland, Maine; brothers, Ron of Nebraska, Bob of Donovan, Nebraska, Harry Jr, of Grand Island, Nebraska, Dennis of Donovan, Nebraska; sisters, Dorlene Kamper and Robin Kamper, both of Grand Island, Nebraska.
