Bio
LeRoy M. "Coy" Henderson, 58, of Kirklin, died on arrival at the Clinton County Hospital Monday afternoon. He had been in failing health for several years. Mr. Henderson was born in Dugginsville, Missouri, on July 22, 1911, the son of George C. and Louisa Wiggins Henderson. On November 25, 1942 he married Vera C. Cox and she survives. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Kirklin American Legion. Due to ill health he retired from the county highway department in 1961. He is survived by four sons, Leroy Jr., Billy Lee, Marty and Lonny all of Kirklin, two sisters, Mrs. Annie Chaffin and Mrs. Lois Gardner both of Bowling Green, Kentucky, three brothers, James of Kirklin, Art of Kansas City and George of St. Petersburg, Fla. Three grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hinshaw Funeral Home in Kirklin, with the Rev. Forest Zollman officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. ~~~~ LeRoy's mother was Louisa Wiggins, the daughter of Elick Alexander and Sarah (Lyman) Wiggins.
