Clinton H. Polansky, 83, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2004. He was a retired senior master sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Clinton was born in Birch, Texas, Nov. 17, 1920. He lived in Bryan, Texas, until 1941, when he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps. He retired to Las Vegas in 1964, and lived here until his death. After he retired from military service, he worked in the hotel business at the Sahara Hotel. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy E. Polansky. He is survived by his son, Clinton H. Polansky Jr. of Blaine, Wash.; daughter, Christy (Dick A.) Huntsman of Las Vegas; brother, E.R. (Bobby) Polansky of Bryan, Texas; sister, Hilda Sosolik of Woodland, Texas; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, July 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5800 W. Carl, Las Vegas. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, at a later date.
