Bio

Mrs. Florence Steiner Barnes : A native of Bon Secour, AL a long time resident of Bayou La Batre, living in Irvington for the past 35 years, died on Monday, January 1, 2001 at her residence. Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Mr. Claudine Barnes, and her son, Allen Barnes. She is survived by two daughters, Schelby (Junior) Rice, and Linda (Johnny) Ryan, both of Irvington; her devoted granddaughter and caregiver, Treena White; eleven other grandchildren, twenty great grand children, one great great grandchild, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. from Oddfellows Hall in Bayou La Batre. Visitation will be Tuesday, at the Hall, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Oddfellows Cemetery. Arrangements by SERENITY FUNERAL HO ME, 8691 Old Pascagoula Rd, Mobile, AL.
