Bio

Alvie grew up near Madison and graduated from high school in Madison. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Jeanne Foley at Luverne, MN, on June 1, 1948. He worked as a barber and later as a bookkeeper for public accountants in Madison and later in Sioux Falls. He was forced to retire in 1960 because of illness. Alvie and Jeanne had a son and daughter, both still living. Alvie died at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held at the Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home.
