Bio
Funeral services for Oliver C Newbury, 88, of 407 West Water, were held Saturday afternoon in Grimes-Plummer Funeral Chapels with Rev Wes Weston officiating. Interment was in the Center Point Cemetery. He passed away on September 13 in the VA Hospital. He was born August 21 in Eastland County and had resided in Kerrville for 52 years. He and Mrs. Newbury were married on August 1, 1927, in Kerrville. He was a retired rancher and member of DAV and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife of Kerrville; one son, Clinton J Newbury of Junction; one daughter, Mrs. Wynnona J Sutton of Gaeta, Italy; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
