Bio
Ila was the daughter of Jake W. and Stella Ann Langston Morrison. Her parents are buried in Fields Chapel Cemetery. She married Elwood Austin. Their sons, Elwood Wayne Austin and Donald Floyd Austin, are buried in Fields Chapel Cemetery. Palestine Herald-Press, Sunday, 25 March 2012: Services for Ila Mae Austin, 91, of Palestine, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Austin died Friday at Greenbrier Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 17, 1921 in Anderson County to Jake W. and Stella Ann Langston Morrison. Mrs. Austin was a seamstress and had been employed by Kay Lynn Manufacturing. Mrs. Austin was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Carl E. Austin, Elwood Wayne Austin and Donnie Ray Austin; sisters, Vallie Perkins and Irene Perkins; brothers, Lawrence Morrison, Andrew Morrison and Lenard Morrison. She is survived by her daughter, Nellie Ann Bruce of Palestine; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
